Birds

Birds are a diverse group of animals in Ontario. They are characterized by laying eggs, wings (modified forelimbs), feathers, and being able to produce their own body heat. In Ontario, there are approximately 483 bird species, with 12% of these species being of conservation concern. This section will introduce you to the birds found in Ontario.
