Fish hawk-Osprey

I thought this would be a fitting post…

I was lucky enough to recently rescue an osprey and bring it to TWC (Toronto wildlife centre-http://torontowildlifecentre.com/) to get assessed with the goal of releasing it back to its wild home.

This is a beautiful bird and deserves respect and admiration. They are Ontario’s fish hawks, and are more common than you would think, you just need to find a large body of water, and you will probably find osprey.

Anyway, check out the species page (under the birds heading–>osprey) to learn more cool facts about the bird and help you identify them in the wild-THEN take those skills outside!

Enjoy,
