The masked bandit

Just added a new post on “the masked bandit”. I know many people consider raccoons pests and they are stupid and annoying, but I LOVE THEM!!! I did my MSc on raccoons and have really learnt to love and appreciate this crazy animal. They are so adaptable, it is incredible, heck, they can even get the human flu (isn’t that crazy?), on top of all the other disease they carry. Raccoons populations are thriving and I think these guys are around to stay. Another cool thing is, they are indigenous (naturally found) to North America, so go anywhere else, and you will only see them in zoos, unless they have been introduced there….WEIRD.

Enjoy and talk soon 🙂

About Sarrah

I am a wildlife biologist with a great passion for wildlife, including conservation and public educations. Through my years, I have come to realize many of peoples' concerns about wildlife has to do with a lack of knowledge about their behaviour and needs...this is where I think I can help.
